Today United ENDA is a coalition of state, local and national LGBT organizations and allies committed to the passage of comprehensive federal legislation that protects individuals from employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

United ENDA is a coalition effort of over 400 organizations, where the power of the coalition comes from all of the work done by all of the organizations in the coalition.

History of United ENDA

United ENDA was formed in 2007 when the Employment Non-Discrimination Act was moving in the House of Representatives and there was debate about whether to keep the bill’s gender identity protections intact. A sign-on letter was circulated, and United ENDA was born.
